***Canada Update 2018***
As we (Hempworx) prepare to re-enter into the Canadian market, I wanted to get this update out to you to answer some frequently asked questions we are getting. MDC is working with an Indigenous Medical Cannabis Clinic that specializes in manufacturing and distribution of hemp-derived CBD products. They also work closely with Health Practitioners for “Compassionate Access” through their online membership program.
The Medical Cannabis Clinic website has been created and is being finalized before members can get access. Please see the attached FAQ document that explains the program.
Once closer to launch, we will be opening up the cart to receive and ship orders. Once again, we are very excited and looking forward to serving our Canadians!

The Endocannabinoid System, Cannabinoids, and Pain
“The endocannabinoid system is involved in a host of homeostatic and physiologic functions, including modulation of pain and inflammation. The specific roles of currently identified endocannabinoids that act as ligands at endogenous cannabinoid receptors within the central nervous system (primarily but not exclusively CB1 receptors) and in the periphery (primarily but not exclusively CB2 receptors) are only partially elucidated, but they do exert an influence on nociception. Exogenous plant-based cannabinoids (phytocannabinoids) and chemically related compounds, like the terpenes, commonly found in many foods, have been found to exert significant analgesic effects in various chronic pain conditions. Currently, the use of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol is limited by its psychoactive effects and predominant delivery route (smoking), as well as regulatory or legal constraints. However, other phytocannabinoids in combination, especially cannabidiol and β-caryophyllene, delivered by the oral route appear to be promising candidates for the treatment of chronic pain due to their high safety and low adverse effects profiles.”

“According to the National Cancer Institute, cannabis has been used for nearly 3,000 years in alternative medicine. Some of these uses include the management of pain, neurological symptoms, and inflammation.”
How CBD Works:
CBD works by interacting with cells in both the brain and nervous system. These molecules are called cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2).
Though the relationship between these cells and receptors isn’t fully understood, their interaction affects the immune system.
For example, CBD seems to prevent the body from metabolizing anandamide. This is a compound associated with pain regulation. Maintaining high levels of anandamides in your bloodstream may reduce your feelings of pain.
CBD is also seems to limit inflammation within the body, which may also help reduce pain and other immune-system responses.

How To Use CBD To Relieve Migraines:
CBD oil is taken via vaping, as a sublingual (“under the tongue”), or you may take a capsule or even have a CBD infused treat. Oral CBD is less likely to cause side effects, so beginners may want to start here. You can put a few drops of the oil under your tongue as shown in the Dosage Chart above.
